Dove joins #SaveOurChildren movement with a pledge to donate proceeds
Calgary, AB, Sept. 27, 2020 (Global NewsWire) — Dove is launching its #SaveOurChildren campaign in collaboration with the Canadian non-profit, Save The Children. For the month of October, Dove is donating 50 per cent of all proceeds from specially marked products to Save The Children. The campaign will also include various resources on Dove’s website and social media platforms to help educate families on the dangers of child trafficking, pedophelia and online predators.
The #SaveOurChildren movement began late July on social media to encourage conversation about child safety. The hashtag has circulated across social media platforms and started rallies and protests from concerned parents.
“This campaign is the start of an even bigger conversation about protecting our children. If we can provide the right resources to help educate people, then we’ve made a step in the right direction,” said Alan Jope, CEO of Dove.
Dove is not only providing educational resources, it is sharing impactful stories from the campaign partners, Save The Children. The non-profit provides services worldwide by monitoring social media activity, investigating sex trafficking rings and organizing mission trips that remove children from critical positions.
